Since the 1920’s women have navigated their way through the male-dominated sport of surfing while cultivating their skill, technique, style, and grace. Now, 100 years later, the World Surfing League (WSL) has declared that women and men will be paid equally for professional surfing. This ruling was monumental for beginning to have equality in the sport. During this time of transition to equality, it is vital that women maintain their unique style.
Our story starts at 8:00 pm in an airport in Bilbao, Spain. Luke and I had been traveling for about 20 hours, and I didn’t get a wink of sleep on the plane. All we wanted was to get our boards in the van and sleep. Sure enough, the airline lost our boards. Luke and I left the airport worried and tired. We picked up our home for the next 6 days-a Fiat camper van. Little did we know it was actually manual, and we didn’t know how to drive manual.
Who’s ready for a bikini board meeting? It’s a meeting of the minds but, out on the water! Just Bones Boardwear™ is always first on the agenda. The bikinis are made for an active lifestyle no matter what type of board you’re using. That makes me feel comfortable to wear my Just Bones Boardwear™ while wakeboarding, wake surfing or out catching waves on a surfboard. I really like the high neck style and great fitting bottoms. I can focus on what I’m doing on my board and not worry about adjusting my bathing suit.
